About the role

We are recruiting a Director of Health Care Services and Governance to lead our quality and risk management efforts at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a senior leader, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve quality, safety, and patient experience.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare governance, risk management, and quality improvement. They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

The salary for this position is estimated to be £56,500-£63,000 per annum, based on factors such as location and industry standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies to minimize harm and promote a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications and skills: A relevant degree in a health-related field and/or equivalent experience. Proven track record of success in healthcare governance, risk management, or quality improvement.
