About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team at Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin). As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the South region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure converted orders by means of specifications and lead conversion for all products within the Wavin Above Ground product portfolio.
  • Effectively manage all End User sub-contract relationships to drive maximum opportunity for the use of Wavin products.
  • Actively promote and represent Wavin and its associated product brands across the construction and building products markets in line with the core strategy of the business.
Main Objectives

Achieve monthly and quarterly Commercial Objectives and KPIs, which will be discussed and clearly outlined during the continuous performance review process.

Performance and actions will be driven specifically linked to the core measures of the role, including:

  • Value of orders converted
  • Conversion rate of opportunity to order
  • Development of Project Pipeline
  • Call ratio and frequency by customer type
  • CDP seminars
  • BIM customer penetration and adoption
  • Mandatory use of Company CRM system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A proven track record of successful specification sales, including management of a Project Pipeline.
  • The ability to demonstrate drive and ambition, setting challenging goals and seeking to achieve them.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently across a wide range of mediums.
  • Proactive use of CRM system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • The ability to be entrepreneurial in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Experience in successful negotiation, persuasion, and influencing.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to adapt and respond well to change.
