We are seeking an experienced External Audit Lead to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our audit department, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and delivering high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-audit meetings, prepare time budgets, and review detailed planning memos.
  • Supervise audit teams, review work, and monitor job profitability.
  • Draft management letters, finalize accounts, and prepare fee schedules.

Team Leadership:

  1. Provide training, mentorship, and feedback to develop team members' skills and knowledge.
  2. Participate in tenders, presentations, and advisory projects to drive business growth.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in external audit and general practice.
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax and company law.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, with experience in Sage, CaseWare, and tax software preferred.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to provide practical solutions to complex business challenges.
