Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer Opportunity

Venn Group's specialist legal team is currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the Home Counties to recruit a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their department.

This opportunity is for a full-time position, with an initial period of 3 months, and a strong likelihood of extension thereafter. The role can be worked on a remote basis, with the option to attend the office from time to time. Hearings will be conducted remotely, eliminating the need for travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice to Local Authority clients on complex Adult Social Care and Mental Health matters.
  • Devise Consent orders and 21 A's using CVP and Teams.
  • Attend the office for an induction, meet the team, and collect IT equipment on the first and second day.
  • Confidently manage time recording and case management systems, as well as conduct advocacy.

An hourly rate of up to £60 per hour is offered for this position, dependent on experience level. If you are a Solicitor or Barrister with prior experience working within Local Government, please apply for this role or contact Connie Ross or Sam Cox for further information.

Requirements:
  • Understanding of the legal framework and case law relating to Adult Social Care and Health.
  • Knowledge of the issues facing Local Authorities, legal service departments, and Lawyers.
