Adult Social Care Lawyer Opportunity

Venn Group's specialist legal team is currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the Home Counties to recruit a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their department.

This opportunity is for a full-time position, with an initial period of 3 months, and a strong likelihood of extension thereafter. The role can be worked on a remote basis, with the option to attend the office from time to time if preferred.

The successful candidate will be a Solicitor or Barrister with prior experience working within Local Government, carrying a full and varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters and Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice to Local Authority clients on complex Adult Social Care and Health matters.
  • Devise Consent orders and 21 A's using CVP and Teams.
  • Attend hearings remotely, with no travel required.
  • Confidently manage time recording and case management systems.
  • Conduct own advocacy and provide high-quality legal services.
