Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Children's Nurse to join our team at a leading children's hospice in North London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment that prioritises the well-being of seriously unwell children and their families.

  • Provide direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and other care staff.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the hospice, children's homes, or community settings.
  • Plan and review care in collaboration with families to ensure safety, advocacy, and the best possible outcomes.
  • Ensure that care is provided with fun, sensitivity, and compassion.
  • Administer medications and maintain the nutritional status of all children in our care.
  • Participate in governance activities, including incident reporting and resource management.
  • Offer training and development opportunities to staff and family members.
Package and Benefits:
  • An annual salary of up to £49,976, based on experience.
  • A joining bonus of £5,000 over three years.
  • 25 days of annual leave, increasing with service, plus the option to buy or sell leave.
  • Pension contributions up to 6% from the employer, with NHS pension options for nursing staff.

The ideal candidate will have registration as a Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch), relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level, experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions, and excellent clinical, communication, and mentoring skills.
