Job Title: Financial Leadership Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Leadership Position to join our team at First Choice Homes Oldham.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Finance team to support the delivery of our short-, medium- and long-term financial strategy. This will involve working closely with the Director of Finance, Executive Leadership team and other Heads of Service to deliver our exciting change agenda and improve services for colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Finance team to achieve financial planning, treasury management, VAT and tax compliance and internal and external audit objectives.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the delivery of our business plan.
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Finance team to ensure the effective management of financial resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the effective management of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and statements.
Requirements:
  • CCAB qualified with a record of CPD in finance.
  • Experience of financial planning, treasury management, VAT and tax compliance and internal and external audit.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Housing SORP and RSH Financial Returns (desirable).
