A rapidly expanding online technology firm is seeking a Credit Control Assistant to join their finance team in their UK office. This is a permanent position that offers a great opportunity for growth.

As a Credit Control Assistant, you will work closely with a small team and report directly to the Financial Controller. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the collection of overdue payments from clients, alongside general accounting duties and various additional tasks. This role is diverse and will provide an opportunity for increased responsibilities as you develop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with clients through multiple channels to expedite the collection of overdue accounts
  • Tracking and monitoring payment statuses
  • Identifying discrepancies and resolving billing issues for clients
  • Negotiating payment arrangements
  • Investigating and reconciling outstanding items
  • Performing general financial administrative tasks as needed

Candidate Profile:

  • 1-3 years of experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable
  • Experience in a high-volume credit control or collections setting
  • Ideal for ACCA or CIMA students or AAT level 3 or 4 holders
  • May suit recent finance or accounting graduates with relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective communicator, capable of working both collaboratively and independently
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Able to maintain focus under pressure and meet tight deadlines
