About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Cardiff School.


As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to create a supportive learning environment for students with special educational needs.


You will provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping to meet their individual learning needs and promote their confidence, independence, and social skills.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping to meet their individual learning needs.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of tailored educational activities and resources.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with ASD, is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children's learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
