Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Hybrid working post qualifying period

Sector: Manufacturing / Distribution

Job Summary: We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated IT Manager to deliver strategic IT development projects which promote ongoing business growth, whilst ensuring effective and efficient operation of the group IT environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactive development of IT based processes to drive business growth.
  • Development of group business continuity planning and testing to minimize downtime.
  • Account management of third-party IT support providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • On-site liaison with third-party IT support for day-to-day issues to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Supervising daily operations of network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Managing IT budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware to ensure optimal IT infrastructure.
  • Ensuring that IT complies with current laws, codes, and regulations to minimize risk.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting information systems to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Creating and implementing IT policies and procedures to ensure best practice.
  • Communicating with the management team on IT-related issues to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Ensuring the security of data, network access, and backup systems to protect business assets.
  • Managing IT licensing requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Directing, coaching, and supporting IT technicians in daily tasks or escalated troubleshooting to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • User provisioning and hardware replacement/maintenance to ensure optimal IT operations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Experience with MS SQL databases and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Strong overall understanding of on-premise virtualized, physical, and networking infrastructure.
  • SharePoint, Power Apps, and Asset Management skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Office 365 suite.
  • Effective communication to stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • SharePoint administration to ensure optimal IT operations.
