Job Overview

This Teaching Assistant position requires a skilled and compassionate individual to support students with complex needs and disabilities in a specialist SEN school. As a member of the Academics Ltd team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these students.

Responsibilities

  • Work with pupils aged 11-19 in a secondary setting, providing support across multiple classes and one-to-one teaching assistant work
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to develop and implement effective support plans for students
  • Support students with sensory curriculum-based learning activities and promote independence and confidence

What We're Looking For

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with disabilities or SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to promote happiness and self-reliance in students
