Raffles London at The OWO Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Night Porter to join our Rooms Department at Raffles London at The OWO.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a genuine, attentive, friendly, positive, and proactive service to our guests. This includes handling guest luggage, packages, and parcels with the utmost care and attention to detail.

You will work closely with the concierge team to provide any answers to questions guests may have and assist with their requirements, ensuring all needs are met. Your responsibilities will include:


  2. Accepting and distributing incoming deliveries according to SOP
  3. Taking responsibility for the department and area on night shifts
  4. Acting as the contact point between Front office and guests
  5. Confidently welcoming and greeting guests to Raffles standards, using name recognition whenever possible
  6. Assisting the door, concierge, and lobby staff to ensure smooth transitions for all guests and residents
  7. Tracking and tracing all luggage and guest items arriving into the hotel
  8. Escorting guests and luggage through the building
  9. Arranging taxi and pick-ups of guests and transfers of luggage in a detailed manner
  10. Assisting with night concierge and front office duties as required
  11. Manual handling and lifting of guest items, ensuring great care is taken at every step
  12. Additional responsibilities in the absence of a line manager or senior employee
  13. Performing other duties as required or assigned, including working in a different department or restaurant than usually assigned

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with:


  2. Previous night working experience
  3. Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English, both verbal and written
  4. Recent experience within a 5-star hotel or a similar role
  5. Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering and offering the best service and experiences possible in any situation
  6. Able to work within a team and to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  7. Distinctive, professional, and warm personality
  8. A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure
  9. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken
  10. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining an immaculate and professional appearance
  11. An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when required

Desirable

We would welcome applicants with:


  2. UK Driving license
  3. Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards
