About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Specialist to join our team at Tekion Corporation. As a Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive training programs to our learners, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and revise instructional strategies and learning materials using effective principles of adult learning theory and evaluation data.
  • Delivery: Deliver asynchronous and synchronous learning for Industry, Platform Product, and Process.
  • Blended Learning: Leverage a blended learning environment to maximize learning potential and results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Tekion Content Design team to ensure training material is properly created, maintained, and updated.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understand details around the knowledge of applicable dealership/industry workflows as it pertains to the use of Tekion created solutions.
  • Product Evolution: Participate in Tekion product evolution to determine level of training development materials and ensure proper communication to the learner.
  • Learner Support: Participate in formal and informal problem-solving assessments of learners in the program.
  • Coaching: Provide coaching support to staff to ensure consistency of learner skills and knowledge.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate training records and notes to be used in learner coaching.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current on automotive industry trends and information.
  • Logistics: Assist with logistics, transportation, and coordination of materials and site locations.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience: 3+ years dealership industry experience required (3 years in support and/or implementation).
  • Training Experience: 2+ years of blended environment training experience preferred.
  • Leadership: Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LMS Administration: LMS administration experience.
  • Coaching Certification: Coaching certification.
