We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef to join our team at Anchor Hanover. As a Deputy Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, managing a team of catering assistants, and maintaining high standards of food safety and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train catering assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality catering services.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health and safety procedures, including regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of equipment and resources.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience for our residents.

Requirements

  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Catercraft or similar award.
  • Health and safety legislation, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven experience in a senior culinary role, with a track record of managing a team and delivering high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements and safe use of kitchen equipment.
