Sterile Services Technician

A Sterile Services Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective decontamination and sterilization of medical equipment. As a member of the Central Sterile Services Department, you will work closely with the Department Manager, Jim, to provide a high-quality service to all departments within the hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Cleaning, checking, assembling, packing, sterilizing, and distributing medical devices
- Ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for purpose prior to patient use
- Participating in all duties in accordance with departmental work schedules
- Monitoring procedures and reporting malfunctions of sterilizers/washer-disinfectors
- Recording details on the appropriate form
- 25 days annual leave that increases with service plus bank holidays

This role is ideal for someone with little to no experience in the healthcare environment, who has excellent communication skills and an interest in sterile services. You will need to be willing to learn, comfortable working within a team environment, and have good written and spoken English skills.
