Car Mechanic

Here at Mendip Autoserve Ltd, we are looking for someone full-time to join our growing team at our newly developed garage in Pylle, Shepton Mallet. The garage employs 9 staff members including mechanics, panel beaters, a car salesman and our admin staff. The garage has grown over the years and will continue to do so.

The applicant must have good experience as a mechanic/technician and have the ability to diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment, we can give some training if the applicant is not familiar with tools such as VCDS, AUTEL, SNAP ON, PICO and DIM-SPORT.

We only work on our own cars so there is no pressure from customers to complete jobs by the end of the day this means a technician has the ability to organise themselves and create a much better workflow. We have a huge 12000 sq ft workshop with 11 vehicle lifts which enables us to work on multiple vehicles at the same time.

Duties to include:

- Service and repair to car sales vehicles.
- Organising vehicles in the workshop.
- Organising parts and workshop supplies.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
