Mechanical Engineer - TIG Welder

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in TIG welding to join our team at ASC Connections. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding high-value materials, including Nimonic, Inconel, and Nickel Alloys.

Responsibilities:
  • TIG weld sheet, tube, and section components together, adhering to customer drawings.
  • Inspect welds thoroughly to ensure compliance with Aerospace standards.
  • Operate hand and air tools for assembly and finishing processes.
  • Work from detailed customer drawings and job specification sheets.
  • Complete necessary job route cards and batch sheets accurately.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in TIG welding, preferably within Aerospace, Defence, or MOD sectors.
  • Ability to work with thin-gauge materials (0.5mm) using delicate welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of customer drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Experience inspecting own work to required quality standards.
