About the Role:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for raising the profile of D&R Recruitment Limited across the region in the commercial banking space, liaising with brokers and introducers to promote the company and educate the market as to their appetite for real estate lending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate new real estate lending with an emphasis on bridging and buy to let funding for experienced landlords.
- Assess and shape deals, and proactively seek new opportunities to add to the company's growing lending book.
- Develop and maintain a strong external network of brokers and intermediaries.
- Work autonomously and have a real input into deal activity, working for a dynamic and innovative company with a genuine appetite to lend.
Requirements:
- Experience in real estate lending, with a good understanding of and track record in bridging and buy to let.
- Excellent credit skills to assess and structure lending in this sector, ideally with experience of lending in the £1m-£10m space.
- Strong business development and origination skills, particularly focused towards professional landlords.
- Ability to work autonomously and be proactive and self-motivated.
