Advanced Practitioner/Trainee Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Trauma Advanced Clinical Practitioner (TACP) at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to develop their skills and expertise in trauma care, working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities:- Undertake a 3 to 4 year Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice at a local University, with funding provided by the Trust.
- Develop expertise in complex decision making and autonomous management of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and allied healthcare professionals to provide advanced clinical practice.
- Registration on the relevant part of the register with the NMC or HCPC, with no restrictions on practice.
- Possession of a first degree in a health-related subject and/or completion of clinically based level 7 (Masters) module(s).
- Recognised teaching and assessing qualification, mentor qualification, and minimum of 4 years post-registration experience.
- Completion of in-house AP programmes to support Band 6 training role for advanced practice.
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and action under pressurized environments.
- Evidence of performing minor surgical procedures.
The post will have a primary location at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, but may extend and influence across UHL, including the trauma wards and adult inpatient wards. The successful candidate will be required to work at all times under an appropriate level of supervision as part of the training programme.
