**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Employer Engagement Specialist to join our team at Education Development Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with businesses and employers to promote work experience placements for young people.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Develop and implement strategies to engage with businesses and employers to encourage their involvement in work experience placements

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of businesses and employers

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our network of employers

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives

• Develop and deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders as required

**Requirements**

• A demonstrable understanding of the challenges faced by schools in delivering careers activities, especially work experience

• An understanding of relevant local and national policy relating to skills and economic development and the issues and barriers to employment faced by young people

• Demonstrable experience of engaging and building relationships with leaders from businesses, ideally in HR and Talent functions

• Demonstrable experience of planning and hosting events

• A strong track record of business development and account management
