About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Software Engineer to join our team at Motorsport-Total GmbH. As a key member of our software development team, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering high-performance software applications that drive innovation and success in the racing world.

This role requires a strong technical background in software engineering, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively. We offer a competitive salary of $95,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including private healthcare, car schemes, life insurance, and generous pension contributions. Our state-of-the-art campus at the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking offers many facilities, including a gym, restaurant, and indoor and outdoor break-out areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-performance software applications using various programming languages and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of software systems.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 2 years of commercial experience applying software engineering principles.
  • Strong theoretical understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, relational and NoSQL databases, and test-driven development.
  • High proficiency in at least one common programming language applied in a commercial setting (e.g., C#, Python).
  • Ability to adapt to working with a variety of technologies based on engineering requirements.
  • Familiarity with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • SOME experience with technologies such as Kubernetes preferred.
