Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity is available for a seasoned midwife to become a vital member of our Maternity Governance team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We seek a dedicated and passionate midwife to assume the role of Clinical Governance Midwife, collaborating closely with the Maternity Governance Matron, the Deputy Head of Midwifery, and other Governance Team members. This position is crucial in advancing the system-wide maternity quality and safety initiatives, including adherence to NHS Resolution standards and Ockenden actions.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental within the maternity governance team, engaging with various members of the multi-disciplinary team across divisions. Your leadership will focus on service enhancement and quality improvement in clinical governance and risk management, working alongside the broader Governance Team within the Women's and Children's Division to ensure that the safety of women and infants remains paramount in the care provided.
This position requires strong leadership and influencing capabilities, specialized knowledge of maternity risk and governance protocols, and the ability to collaborate effectively with system-wide partners, thereby supporting the governance framework of Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
