Leading Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaborative team and provide high-quality care to the vibrant communities of Deal and its surrounding villages.
About the RoleThis community-based post offers a flexible working environment where you will work closely with two other consultants in the South Kent Coast Community Mental Health Teams. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership within the team, offering medical input as required to patients under care, and strengthening relationships with external agencies including the local CCG.
Main Responsibilities- To provide clinical leadership within the South Kent Coastal Community Mental Health Team alongside two other Consultant colleagues.
- The provide medical input as required to patients under care of the Community Mental Health Team
- To be actively involved in strengthening relationships with external agencies including the local CCG.
- To take an active leadership role in screening of referrals as well as assessment of new referrals jointly with other team members

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Excellent knowledge in specialty
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
The estimated salary range for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a Recruitment Bonus of £15,000 and relocation assistance of up to £8,000.
