The Spinal Injuries Association is committed to a singular vision: a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury.

This role will play a critical part in supporting the financial operations of the charity, ensuring the organisation can continue delivering life-changing support and advocacy for individuals and families affected by spinal cord injury.

As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Finance Administration: Processing of purchase and sales invoices, company credit cards, and expenses accurately and promptly following charity VAT guidance.
  • Income Management: Processing of income received via various channels and investigation of variances and queries.
  • Journals: Processing of journals
  • Payments: Supporting with preparing payments to suppliers.
  • Petty Cash: Processing of petty cash transactions
  • Bank Reconciliations: Supporting with the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for authorisation and sign off.

Reporting, Year-End Preparation, and Audit:

  • Year-End Accounts: Assisting in the preparation of the year-end accounts and aiding with the auditors.
  • Reports: Assisting with the development and preparation of various required reports.

Credit Control:

  • Aged Debtors List: Supporting the production of aged debtors list and, along with colleagues from other teams, taking appropriate action to collect all overdue accounts.

The estimated salary for this role is £17,530.00 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
