Area Sales Manager Role Overview

As a key member of our sales team at Ripon Farm Services Ltd., the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships and generating new business within their designated sales area.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be commercially minded, and have the drive and ambition to expand existing business and develop new accounts.

The role involves representing the dealership in the sale of machinery to customers, developing customer relationships, and maintaining current product knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' equipment sales experience, good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices, and the ability to use standard computer applications and CRM systems.

The Area Sales Manager will be based at the Tadcaster Depot and will be required to visit customers at their premises, prioritizing their workload and managing their own diary to achieve targets and meet business goals.

  • Represents the Dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Develops customer relationships to achieve sales targets and grow market share within your sales area.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and services and attends relevant sales training events.
  • Knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Executes goods delivery and follow up, according to the follow up procedure.
  • Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
