Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation and Recovery Support Worker to join our team in Argyll and Bute. As a Lived Experience Pre/Post Rehabilitation Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality recovery care to diverse clients. Your lived experience of drug or alcohol use will enable you to connect with clients, build trust, and facilitate their journey towards recovery.
This full-time, fixed-term position (until March 2025) offers intensive support pre-residential rehabilitation, throughout placements, and in aftercare. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working together to develop and improve recovery communities. Your responsibilities will include outreach, harm reduction, structured interventions, and activities that promote client engagement and motivation.
Please note that a driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this position. You must hold an SVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care, as required for SSSC registration purposes. The post is subject to a PVG check.
Required Skills and Qualifications- You must be a compassionate and motivated individual with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Have been on your own journey with drugs or alcohol and be willing to use that experience to help others.
- Be able to develop relationships of trust while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle.
- Possess an SVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care.
