Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a ward manager and clinical nurse specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the ward team, providing leadership and guidance to junior staff, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the ward team, including delegation of work and reporting to the ward/department manager
  • Taking charge regularly, adhering to all agreed protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Teaching and monitoring nurses and other students allocated to the ward
  • Adhering to agreed procedures and promoting a high standard of nursing care

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years post-registration acute nursing experience, current IV skills, and possession of a teaching qualification. A phlebotomy skill and knowledge of non-medical consent are desirable.
