Senior Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Halifax, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise and motivate the kitchen team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, meeting health and safety regulations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting career development and growth.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient ordering and stock control.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining kitchen operations and standards.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene.
