About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Director of Operations. As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will be responsible for leading our busy Operations team and driving the strategic direction of our Mortgage and Savings function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategic Direction: Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the Savings, Mortgage Operations, Underwriting, and Arrears teams.
  • Operational Change Management: Shape and manage a clear operational change roadmap aligned with our company strategy.
  • Strategy and Financial Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of our company strategy and financial plan.
  • Change Agenda Management: Shape and manage the forward change agenda for the operations team, aligned with our company strategy.
  • Operational Oversight: Provide effective oversight of all day-to-day operations, including ad hoc system and project work.
  • Operational Resilience: Ensure operational resilience, including incident management, resolution, and implementation, disaster recovery, business continuity management, and IT/CMT.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience of a department.
  • Mortgage Underwriting: Experience and/or knowledge of mortgage underwriting.
  • Change Management: Experience of scale change management and process transformation projects.
