The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring products meet customer expectations while maintaining an effective and cost-efficient manufacturing process. You will collaborate with various departments, including Technical, Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and implementing quality management systems to ensure compliance from Goods In to Despatch.
  • Reviewing and developing QA processes within the business, promoting a culture of quality control.
  • Providing training and education on quality compliance, emphasizing staff responsibility.
  • Investigating supplier-related issues, conducting root cause analysis, and reporting as required.
  • Auditing and approving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain control and adherence within the manufacturing environment.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent customer and supplier quality skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a technical/engineering background. Relevant experience in Quality Management Systems or Engineered Product Manufacturing is preferred. You must also have:

  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to personal development.
  • Proven experience in Quality Management, preferably with ISO 9001 certification.
