About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic school in Grantham. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and have experience working with SEND or SEMH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND/SEMH needs.
- Assist teachers in implementing educational programmes.
- Help create a positive and safe learning environment.
- Encourage students' social and emotional development.
- Support students with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to meet the needs of the students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEND/SEMH students.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
