Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Norwood Medical Centre. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide comprehensive support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, including typing of letters, reports, and other clinical documents.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection policies.
  • Assist with the coordination of patient appointments, bookings, and admissions, ensuring timely and efficient communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Support the practice manager and assistant operations manager with clerical and administrative duties, including actioning tasks and workflow lists.
  • Develop and maintain effective filing and administrative systems, ensuring easy access to information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, carers, and other stakeholders, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies, with a strong understanding of GDPR regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, and experience with EMIS or other clinical software systems.
