About the Role

Ramboll Group A/S is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in the United States. As a key member of our Engineering practice, you will be responsible for leading a variety of projects and collaborating with design and construction professionals across the Americas and globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Successfully manage the execution of Civil design projects from inception to completion, providing expertise in site development, infrastructure, stormwater management, land development, and construction-phase support.
  • Design and Development: Lead the development of detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports for civil and environmental projects.
  • Site Evaluations and Grading: Conduct site evaluations, grading, drainage, and utility design to meet project goals and local regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently and manage project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Business Development: Lead business development and project management activities including scope and budget development, proposal writing, budget/milestone tracking, client presentation, and regulatory interaction.
  • Quality Management: Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the firm's quality management system, including Ramboll drafting standards and specific client or industry standards.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Regularly interact with existing and prospective clients, establishing collaborative project teams of Engineers, Geologists, Scientists, and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Technical Quality Reviews: Provide technical quality reviews of work products developed by others and coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines into the final design deliverables.
  • Professional Development: Coach and mentor project team members to develop their professional and project management skills, in collaboration with Division/People Managers.
  • Project Scope and Budget: Proficient at developing project scope, schedule, and budget, and assembling and managing project team/resources that are proficient in the technical aspects of the project.
  • Safety and Environment: Coordinate safe performance of work and appropriate safety training of the team, and create an environment to enhance safety culture.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering, science or other related field.
  • Experience: 10 to 20 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineering licensure preferred.
  • Skills: Solid project management skills, with strong technical and client relationship-building capabilities.
