The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory matters, with 6+ years of post-qualification experience and relevant exposure from a regulated institution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance on regulatory interpretations and advise on regulations issued by relevant bodies.
- Operate as the primary legal resource for all regulatory queries, ensuring seamless navigation through complex regulatory hurdles.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures that align with the evolving regulatory landscape.
- Liaise closely with the Compliance team to implement effective regulatory compliance programmes.
- Deliver authoritative counsel on intricate regulatory matters, including custodial, licensing, and risk management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and related documentation in line with regulatory obligations.
- Lead counsel on the legal formation and launch of investment funds across various asset classes.
- Identify and mitigate associated legal risks in fund operations and investments.
- Offer timely and accurate counsel on regulatory changes and their consequences for the wider business.
