About the Role

The MEP Coordinator will work with the International Construction Team to ensure successful management and completion of all MEP trade work. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading subcontractors throughout the project duration, adhering to contract requirements.
  • Creating operational programmes to demonstrate project delivery, using the NEC4 recognised process.
  • Aiding in the production of bill of quantities and bill of materials during pre-construction.
  • Providing recommendations for subcontract appointments, ensuring compliance with contract documents.
  • Completing technical analysis of subcontractor tender submissions.
  • Managing, coordinating, and quality-controlling MEP parties to ensure compliance with G3 Standards.
  • Aiding in the completion of MEP tender documents, incorporating scopes, interface documents, and design responsibility matrices.
  • Carrying out international visits as required.
  • Establishing MEP procurement/packaging strategies aligned with building fabric elements, in conjunction with the procurement department.
  • Completing MEP procurement programmes integrated into the overall project programme.
  • Identifying, managing, and containing risks inherent in the procurement strategy.
  • Assisting the Design Manager with technical advice, producing, agreeing, and managing a realistic design programme and information required schedule.
  • Ensuring timely MEP design issuance and auditing for compliance, buildability, and commission-ability.
  • Coordinating in-country MEP sectional supervisors to ensure compliance with the above.
  • Visiting sites to view completed works, checking quality and compliance to specifications and drawings.
  • Representing the Company's interests at meetings related to the work under their control.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, professionalism, and customer service among staff and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Relevant mechanical/electrical certification.
  • 18th Edition BS7671 Electrical Test and Commission desirable.

Preferred:

  • Up to 3-4 years' experience in construction or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC3/4 desirable.
  • Experience managing mechanical and electrical elements of projects in the construction/MEP environment.
  • Experience dealing with MEP subcontractors.
  • Overseas experience desirable.
