Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ICT Support Officer to join our dynamic team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our Informatics Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering and supporting ICT solutions that make a difference to our users.

Main Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing and resolving complex user problems, working closely with ICT colleagues and senior managers as needed

• Providing training and support to users and support staff on software solutions, both in-classroom and desk-side

• Maintaining and managing all training activities, including coordination, planning, and strategy

• Working with the implementation team to communicate training information to Informatics staff and wider BCU staff as appropriate

• Assisting the ICT Systems Support Management Team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of systems within their remit, including disaster recovery planning

• Contributing to the specification and delivery of informatics projects for local and national ICT initiatives

• Providing onsite floor walking support to end-users across BCU for any ICT-related issues or training requirements

Essential Criteria

• Educated to degree level or equivalent level of work experience and knowledge

• Experience working in a large and complex organization

• Experience in the support and training of software solutions

• Participation in change management projects and process re-engineering

• Knowledge of clinical, management, and information processes

• Knowledge and appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of IT
