We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd. This full-time role is ideal for individuals eager to make a meaningful impact on children's lives, particularly those with SEN requirements.

About the Role:

  • Position: Support Specialist for Children with Additional Needs
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Guildford
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time
  • Role Type: 1:1 support for a child with specific needs, including speech and language, behavioural challenges, or high SEN requirements.
  • Contract: Ongoing, with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to implement effective learning strategies and interventions.
  • Encourage positive behaviours, build self-confidence, and promote independence in the child you support.
  • Support the classroom environment to ensure inclusivity for all pupils.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
