We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance Oversight Division, you will play a critical role in supporting the achievement of our statutory objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide second-line review to the management of risk, focusing on business areas such as Payments and Digital Assets, and leading the risk advisory relationship on strategic commitments.
- Build relationships and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the FCA, maintaining independence and objectivity.
- Represent the Risk and Compliance Oversight function on key change initiatives and policy initiatives, reviewing and commenting on business strategy and providing clear oversight opinion on key risks.
- Drive the implementation and embedding of the revised FCA Risk Management Framework and support the design and delivery of initiatives such as developing a risk and control library.
- Prior experience working in a regulatory and/or financial services sector.
- Experience of working with risk management processes and frameworks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate credibly with colleagues, senior management, and subject matter experts.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior management at all levels within the FCA.
- Adopt a flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to apply initiative and work in a changing environment, including meeting tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of the FCA and its approach to regulation, including good knowledge of the financial services industry, with particular emphasis on Payments and Digital Assets.
