As a Forest Development Specialist with the Confederation of Forest Industries, you will play a key role in supporting the development of Scotland's forests. Based out of Hamilton Office in Central Scotland Conservancy, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of tasks that promote sustainable forest management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support woodland officers in carrying out grants and regulation work
  • Provide guidance to woodland owners and managers on forestry best practices
  • Promote environmentally friendly forestry methods through field visits and office-based activities

We are looking for enthusiastic, practical, individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in forestry. Previous experience is not necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to all new recruits.

We provide policy, support, and regulation for Scotland's 1.4 million hectares of forests.
