About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years professional to join our team as a Third in Charge at our Bright Horizons Winchester Day Nursery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Early Years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to children in our care.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe working environment.
  • Promote the nursery to current and potential customers to support retention and occupancy growth.
  • Ensure commercial success by maintaining expenditure in line with FTEs and budget KPIs.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator.
  • Confident decision maker with experience providing support and leadership to others.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
