Lead Facilities and Sustainability Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our facilities management and sustainability efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of facilities management, health and safety, and sustainability, ensuring optimal operations and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement facilities management strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Lead the design and implementation of facilities improvement projects, collaborating with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  3. Manage a team of facilities professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of service delivery.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including ISO 45001 and 14001.
  5. Provide expert advice to the wider business on facilities management and sustainability matters.
  6. Develop and manage budgets, creating cost-benefit analyses and returns on investment.
  7. Monitor changes in legislation and ensure timely implementation.
  8. Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on facilities management and sustainability performance.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in facilities management leadership roles.
  2. Strong people management and communication skills.
  3. Demonstrable experience of managing buildings and facilities, including compliance.
  4. Experience in developing and executing facilities projects.
  5. Expert knowledge of current facilities compliance and best practices.
  6. Ability to plan and prioritize projects, teamwork, and tasks in a busy environment.
  7. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  8. Excellent IT skills and experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Qualifications and/or membership of IWFM (Institute of Workplace Facilities Management).
  2. NEBOSH qualifications.

Work Location:

This is a full-time role based from our Head Office in Eastwood, Nottingham, with requirements for national travel to our satellite offices in Coventry and Manchester on an ad-hoc basis.
