Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 driver to join our team on a casual basis. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to and from businesses, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and collect goods to and from businesses
- Ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring load security
- Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations
- Attend regular training sessions
- Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Working to deadlines
- Confident, polite, and a team player
- Good geographical knowledge
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
- Hourly rate of £17.58ph
- Additional £2.75 per hour for all hours worked between 2100 & 0400 hours
