Job Details:
- Role: Cover Assistant
- Location: Various schools in Shropshire
- Contract Type: Temporary, with potential for permanence
- Hours: Flexible, dependent on client requirements
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of whole classes during short-term teacher absences
- Support students with their learning, providing additional help and resources as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Work effectively in a team, contributing to the overall success of the school
Requirements:
- Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in a teaching or support role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain order and ensure student safety
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible approach to workload and responsibilities
Pay Rate: Approximately £25-30 per hour, depending on location and experience
