About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to support our team at a Specialist SEN School in Wolverhampton.

Job Description

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with their learning in a safe and nurturing environment. Your primary focus will be on providing individualized support to each student, including positive behavior management and tailored approaches to meet their unique needs.

You will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver high-quality educational programs and contribute to the growth and development of the school and teaching assistant team. This may involve mentoring newly appointed team members and supporting the development of best practices within the sector.

Requirements
  • Higher Level Teaching Diploma or equivalent Level 4 Qualification is required
  • Knowledge or experience of working within an educational setting
  • Experience of pupils/young adults with SEN, SLD, PMLD, ADHD, SEMH, and ASD
  • Minimum GCSE Maths & English at Level 2/C or above is essential
  • Energetic, proactive, and passionate about working within the sector
  • Understanding of Safeguarding & Child protection policies & procedures
  • You must be over the age of 21
  • Full driving licence & access to a car
