Job Title: SEN Teaching and Learning Support Specialist


About the Role:


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching and Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Aurora Group.


Key Responsibilities:


As a SEN Teaching and Learning Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with their learning and wellbeing.


You will work closely with our class teachers to provide high-quality educational activities and experiences that cater to the individual needs of our students.


Responsibilities will include:



  • Providing support with care needs and positive behaviour management
  • Establishing a warm and supportive relationship with students
  • Encouraging independence and personal development in students
  • Supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Experience working with SEN in an employed or voluntary setting
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above qualification
  • A recognised qualification in Support work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable)
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in your approach
  • The desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
