About the Role

We are seeking a Research Integrity Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring research integrity across our journals, implementing best practice standards, and providing insight and recommendations to inform editorial policy and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit journals for adherence to peer review and research integrity best practice, highlighting areas for improvement or investigation.
  • Suggest and implement improvements for research integrity practice with cross-department input, deploying continuous improvement strategies where required.
  • Support and advise Editorial colleagues on editorial policy and processes.
  • Review the research integrity landscape and the researcher experience to build a knowledge bank and inform new policies and processes.
  • Digest and disseminate ethics and integrity updates for T&F colleagues in a clear and common language.
  • Act as a policy and initiative champion with internal stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support across other departments.
Requirements
  • Experience in research in any discipline.
  • Editorial experience in assessing scholarly manuscripts for quality, research ethics, and integrity of content.
  • Experience in handling and advising on complex and sensitive research ethics and integrity cases, based on a variety of research study designs.
  • Broad interest in research and how it is evolving globally.
  • Ability to critique scientific research or analyze statistics.
  • Effective project management.

Location

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week on-site at any of our UK office locations.
