Radiography Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Therapeutic Radiographer to join our research team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and a passion for research, with a focus on developing and leading clinical trials in radiation oncology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical trial design, conduct, and management, as well as experience in working with patients and healthcare professionals. They will also have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The role will involve leading and coordinating clinical trials, reviewing trial protocols, and identifying and screening patients for trial suitability. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing specialist information to patients taking part in clinical trials and acting as an advocate for research within the trust.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate clinical trials in radiation oncology
- Review trial protocols and identify and screen patients for trial suitability
- Provide specialist information to patients taking part in clinical trials
- Act as an advocate for research within the trust
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve research goals
- Current HCPC registration to practice as a Therapeutic Radiographer
- BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
- Evidence of recent CPD
- Clinical post-registration experience
- Relevant experience in management/leadership training
- Postgraduate level qualification in research, healthcare-related subject, or equivalent
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training for Research
- Previous experience of project management and/or participating in the coordination of clinical trials
- Evidence of systems development and change management
