Lincoln, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom QinetiQ Full time

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our team in Lincoln. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge aviation mission planning systems.

In this role, you will work directly with the Safety and Security Technical Authority to conduct safety analysis on our mission support systems, including Mission Planning Systems and tablet-based obstacle warning, navigation and EFB products.

You will be responsible for producing GECO System Hazard Analysis Reports, GECO System Safety Assessment Reports, and maintaining the GECO System Hazard Log. Additionally, you will support the maintenance, control, and configuration management of all documentation and records relating to Mission Systems' Safety Management System.

The successful candidate will have experience in safety-critical systems engineering and must be motivated by the challenge of analyzing complex systems to identify and control safety risk. You should be a proactive individual with a 'can-do attitude' who can work with minimal supervision and contribute your own suggestions and ideas to improve product safety.

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and allows for adaptive working. The post is primarily based in Lincoln but may require occasional travel to other sites within the UK.
