Main Purpose of Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent housing management services to our customers, ensuring operational performance is high and continues to improve. This includes ensuring neighbourhood services meet resident expectations and providing opportunities for residents to influence service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Estate Management: Oversee the management of estates, including monitoring and addressing any issues that may arise.
  2. New Tenant Visits and Tenancy Sign-up: Conduct visits to new tenants, explain tenancy agreements, and ensure they understand their responsibilities.
  3. Tenancy Verification and Fraud Prevention: Verify the identity of tenants and prevent fraudulent activity.
  4. Requesting Responsive Maintenance: Identify and report maintenance issues to ensure prompt resolution.
  5. Addressing Anti-Social Behaviour: Work with residents and other stakeholders to address anti-social behaviour and maintain a safe and respectful environment.
Financial Responsibilities:

Manage estate management expenditure, support the delivery of the annual housing capital and environmental improvements programme, administer and collect recharges, and support the Rent Recovery section.

Main Accountabilities:
  1. Provide a comprehensive housing management service to customers and neighbourhoods, dealing with breaches of tenancy/leaseholder agreements, estate management/monitoring, anti-social behaviour, caretaking, and delivery of communal services and tenancy support visits.
  2. Deliver against an agreed improvement plan for the assigned area in consultation with residents and help deliver the corporate objectives.
  3. Ensure housing management and environmental services provided to residents are coordinated and of an excellent standard, conforming to relevant statutory requirements and best practice.
  4. Deliver housing services that are inclusive and accessible to vulnerable customers.
  5. Investigate and deal with complaints, incidents of ASB, and harassment in accordance with Slough policies and procedures.
  6. Identify opportunities for service improvements and make recommendations to the Neighbourhood Lead/Neighbourhood Manager.
  7. Support inclusive and effective customer involvement opportunities in the area linked to the national customer influencing strategy.
  8. Ensure residents have opportunities to influence and shape policies, service delivery, standards, and scrutinise performance.
  9. Support Slough strategy in the local area and contribute to wider improvement projects as requested by the Neighbourhood Lead and Neighbourhood Manager.
  10. Ensure compliance with, and promotion of, Slough Health & Safety Management and policies, and ensure housing management equality and diversity services embrace this.
  11. Monitor budgets for which you are responsible within timescales and ensure expenditure is in accordance with budget, procedures, and levels of delegated authority and audit requirements.
  12. Participate in the delivery of an out-of-hours service, undertake temporary relief emergency cover, and attend meetings and working groups as required.
  13. Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional behaviour in keeping with the profile of the role inside and outside the organisation.
