Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities, promoting their academic and social growth.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a collaborative and respectful atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans, ensuring each student receives tailored support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • Level 1 or 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with proficient practical skills, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and support.
  • Previous experience working with children, showcasing your ability to connect with and support students.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills, ensuring you can effectively communicate and support students' academic growth.
  • Basic IT skills, allowing you to navigate our systems and tools with ease.
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and responding accordingly.
  • Good influencing skills to encourage pupils to interact with others and be socially responsible.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities, and confidentiality.
